DEMONSTRATION TRIALS
Agrigeos primarily operates in Sicily, an Italian region where most of the representative crops are grown. Easy is so the organization of demonstrative trials of every typology.
Conventions with different organization and farmers permit us to have a wide range of produce available for each kind of study.
STUDY ON NON-TARGET AND BENEFICIAL TESTS
Agrigeos can carry out field eco-toxicological tests in order to check the selectivity of agrochemicals toward beneficial insects (such as phytoseid mites, Anthocoris spp., honey beefs etc).
The assessment of side effects of agrochemical products on non-target arthropods are carried out in compliance with 91/414 EU directive and SETAC/ESCORT and EPPO, IOBC and BART guidelines.
SELECTIVITY TRIALS
Agrigeos effectuates selectivity trials to evaluate the phytotoxicity of agricultural pesticides on treated crops and produce, incidence on the next rotation crops, on other plants as well as on neighboring crops.
VARIETY SCREENING
A full range of recommended and upcoming crop varieties can be evaluated in commercial growers' fields for obtaining data on yield, quality, disease resistance and suitability for processing and/or fresh market production.
Showcase displays and surveys among farmers are possible.
NEMATOLOGY
Due to the increasing importance of nematodes that affect vegetable crops mainly in the protected cultivation, we have set up a specialized nematode laboratory for the study, recognition and count.
Test are followed by experts that have deepened their knowledge in University and Research Centers.
